The National Volunteering Network (VNET) is a voluntary network of Volunteer Involving Organisations, Volunteer Networks and Philanthropists
initiated in August 2022, with a view to address the current crisis in the country by supporting the response and recovery efforts through
volunteering. VNET was initiated by United Nations Volunteers, Sri Lanka and is led by a steering committee comprising representatives from
the United Nations Volunteers, State Sector, Corporate Sector, Non-Governmental Organisations, Academia, and Youth Sector. VNET plays the role
of ‘facilitator’ in linking volunteer and support opportunities with VNET members.
The VNET Coordinator invites requests from members for volunteer and/or material support for upcoming initiatives which will be posted on the
‘OPPORTUNITIES TO SUPPORT’ page on a weekly basis. Interested members connect with each other and take forward initiatives on mutual understanding.
